Which is a better choice – Distance Education or Regular College?

I think regular college is better if you want to get a good education.

  1. Distance learning is much better than the regular education as it allows the students to learn, earn and grow at the same time. It benefits the professionals on the other hand in updating the knowledge and polishing their skills.

It is flexible, time saving and comes with ease and comforts.

Regular students lack in time management as they study on the plans defined by the others but in distance learning students learn how to manage the time and schedule the tasks on their own.

That is why online education providers are increasing and there are many renowned home learning providers like UK Open College, The Open University, ICS Learn etc.

In short, distance education is really beneficial and appreciated.

  1. For those who have nothing much to do and absolutely are free, regular college would be the best choice. But for those who plan to learn while working, distance education would be the ideal option. Distance education learning gives a chance for the person to learn while they earn.

  1. In-person education is much better, but there a number of online programs that are put out there by brick and mortar schools, so if you do do distance education make sure it is not at a for profit.

  1. Distance education is better if you have sufficient knowledge about the subject and you are lacking with the degree only or you want to have only degree irrespective of knowledge. If you want to gain the subject knowledge, the regular study is a must.

  1. “Distance education” lacks the one thing that makes education, education: it lacks discipline.

Without that, you might as well never have tried for a degree.

  1. “Distance education” lacks the essential socialization and leadership training that makes a degree functional.  Without that, we get nowhere.

  1. The better choice depends on certain factors. If you’re planning to get a job or currently working, it’s better to have an online college for you to balance your work and class because you can manage your time. The next factor is the distance of your school. If the school that you wanted to attend to is near your house, then an on campus learning is better. On the other hand, if your school is far away from home that it requires you to rent an apartment and you easily get homesick, online education is better.

  1. I think Distance education is the better choice. A student is able to complete assignments and even participate in lectures and class discussions on his or her own time. Distance education have a lot of advantages. Such as:

    1. Lowered costs.
    2. Lots of flexibility.
    3. Learn while working.
